Wedding Catering Information & Policies
KC Taco has catered for over 125 weddings and special events. We believe communication is key to a stress-free experience.
So, let’s get started.


Quotes & Payments
Once you have completed the Wedding Catering form, we will have a good understanding about your event, and if there are any existing scheduling conflicts.
We will work with you to provide an accurate quote best suited for your budget.
Upon receiving our invoice, you may pay with a credit card or check. If paying by check, a card will be kept on file for additional charges if required.
Refund/Cold Feet Policy
Payment in full is due at the time of scheduling your event.
If you need to cancel your catering, a 50% refund will be returned only if cancelled no fewer than 60 days prior to the event date.
Food Service
How much space do I need for the food?
You will need 18 linear feet of draped and covered table space for us to set up your taco bar.
The location of your taco bar should be so that it is accessible from both sides, with clear entrance and exit to and from the dining area for guests.
How much food is included?
We provide enough food for each person to have about 2 ½ tacos each in addition to our sides. However, if you believe your guests will consume more food, we can accommodate you and provide guidance.


Cocktail Hour/Appetizers
If you have ordered appetizers for your cocktail hour, you will need an additional 6 foot draped and covered table in the “cocktail area.” We will arrange for their timely placement.
Do you provide drinks?
We do offer several selections of margaritas. Pricing ranges from $20 to $30 per gallon (about 16 drinks depending on glass size).
We will deliver these to your bartender or another person upon our arrival.
We do not offer soft drinks.
Delivery & Staffing
Delivery | $65 to $85
Delivery and setup are billed according to the location of your event. Standard charges for delivery within 15 miles of KC Taco. Additional charges for more than 15 miles.
On-Site Staffing | $465
Set up self-serve taco bar and clearing of food related items “only” from tables.
Provides all “serving-ware” needed for your guests to make their plates.
Breakdown of taco bar and wrapping of leftovers for you to take away, if any.
Due to liability issues, we do not remove trash from the venue.
Gratuity
A 22% gratuity will be automatically added to your invoice.


Catering Setup
How much time will it take to set up our catering?
If on-site staffing is purchased, we typically arrive approximately 1.75 hours before your scheduled eat time, depending on location and group size.
If no on-site staffing is requested, we typically arrive and setup 45 to 60 minutes before your scheduled eat time. Once setup is complete, we will exit the premises.
What if we’re running behind schedule?
We will have carefully planned for your scheduled eat time. We provide a 20-minute grace period for the commencement service.
Please note there is an additional $150 charge for every 15-minute increment that service is delayed which will be paid on site using the credit card you have provided in advance.
Table Settings/Utensils
We provide serving utensils only. You or your event space is required to provide plates, glassware, eating utensils and napkins.
If you rent dinnerware, our staff will scrape plates and organize your rented plates and utensils.
